Scholarships for international university, Germany
Scholarships Job Description: Our research: All eukaryotic cells transport proteins, mRNAs, organelles, and vesicles through their cytoplasm. These cellular cargoes are bound and translocated by motor protein containing macro-molecular complexes. We use a combination of X-ray crystallography, biophysics, biochemistry and in vivo approaches to characterize the function and three-dimensional structures of such transport complexes. More information is available at http://www.lmb.uni-muenchen.de/niessing.
The open project involves the assembly and characterization of neuronal RNA-protein complexes and their subsequent structural analysis.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with experience in biochemistry/molecular biology and strong interest in structure-to-function characterization. Practical experience in structure determination is not required. The position is available from October 1st 2010.
We offer a team where your personal contribution makes a difference. Our research group is jointly funded by the Helmholtz Zentrum München and LMU. Employment will be via the Helmholtz Zentrum München. For official announcement, please refer to the website of the Helmholtz Zentrum München. The Helmholtz Zentrum München is an equal opportunity employer.
Application deadline: October 1st 2010
