International Scholarships PhD Exascale computing at the Heterogeneous Computing Laboratory

PhD position in Exascale computing at the Heterogeneous Computing Laboratory, Ireland

The Heterogeneous Computing Laboratory at University College Dublin (UCD), as part of the IBM Exascale activity, is seeking a suitable postdoctoral fellow and PhD candidate.
These positions will be co-funded by IRCSET and IBM through IRCSET’s Enterprise Partnership Scheme. Applicants must meet IRCSET’s eligibility criteria and will be assessed independently by IRCSET.


The Exascale activity will adopt a Stream Computing paradigm and will utilize streaming hardware and techniques – some of which will be developed as part of this activity.
The successful PhD candidate will have a 1st Class honours degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. A Masters degree and strong mathematical skills will be an advantage. Ideally, they should be proficient in C programming and should have a working knowledge of parallel computing concepts. Their interests should lie in the software/hardware interface.
